He has also appeared on the cover of BBC Music Magazine, Classical Guitar, and Guitart.
He is also a composer of symphonic, chamber, and choral music. Several of his works have been published by Bergmann Editions, and his musical A Tale of Heroes and Gods was performed in December 2024 in Ahmedabad, India.
He is the creator of the ear-training method that bears his name, the “Catemario Method,” based on the Partimenti tradition of the 18th-century Neapolitan school, as well as the author of a treatise on guitar teaching methodology. In recognition of his artistic and pedagogical achievements, he was awarded the title of Honorary Associate Professor by the Royal Academy of Music in London — a distinction granted to only two guitarists in the history of the institution.
He is currently Professor of Guitar at the Conservatory “Luca Marenzio” in Brescia.
